What to put on a cleaning estimate
- Who you are. Your business name, phone, and your license number if your trade or city needs one.
- One line per item. A quantity and a unit on every line, so the customer sees what they are paying for. For cleaning work that usually means hours, a price for each one and one price for supplies.
- Labor and materials apart. It reads as fair, and it is what tax is usually worked out on.
- A short scope of work. What you will do, in plain words, plus what is not included, so nobody argues about it later.
- The money terms. The deposit to start, when the balance is due, and how many days the price holds.
- A place to sign. A signature, a printed name and a date turn an estimate into an agreement.

Is this cleaning estimate template free?
Yes. Print it, fill it in by hand or save it as a PDF from the print window, as often as you like. There is nothing to sign up for.
Do I need to charge sales tax on the estimate?
It depends on your state and on what you sell. Some states tax materials only, some tax labor too. The template has a tax line for whatever your state taxes; check with your state tax office if you are not sure.
Can I fill it in on my phone instead?
